MLK Jr.

I hope you all turned in regalia for MLK Jr Day. In Michigan, Clavers turned out at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Detroit, MI. We heard an inspirational message. We heard about Fr. Augustus Tolton becoming 'blessed'. Here is a message from the supremes: On January 15, 1929, a child was born to an average middle class family.  He felt happiness, joy, pain, and sorrow.  He was human - composed of flesh and bone - just as we are. He was born into a world filled with injustice, political turmoil, poverty, racism, and struggle. Martin Luther King Jr. Day honors the sacrifices, dedication, and hard work that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and many others willingly chose to exercise so that you and I could enjoy the rights, freedoms, and liberties we have today. When we drink from any water fountain we see, sit at the counter of any restaurant we choose to patronize, cast our vote, or even run for office, we reap the benefits of the struggles and sacrifices of those who came b
