A Message from The Supremes (not the music group)!!



Christmas Greetings and Prayers for a Happy New Year!  We pray that we will continue this season’s spirit of love and giving throughout a blessed and prosperous 2017.

The Christmas Season comes at a timely point in our Nation's history - serving as a valuable reminder of God’s unconditional and infinite love, power, mercy, and influence in a seemingly constantly changing and different world!

We are reminded of that poor and homeless family of immigrants bearing a child and seeking escape from political unrest.  They were turned away, scorned, and looked down upon, but their faith and trust in God brought them through.  On today, we celebrate the birth of that child - our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are especially encouraged to remember the less fortunate and to exhibit the spirit of the season through charitable giving and service: volunteer at a food bank, donate to a noble cause, invite someone who may be spending Christmas alone to fellowship with you and your loved ones.
 
We pray for God’s continued blessings and grace upon our Claver Brothers and Sisters, their families and loved ones, and all our Christian family.
 
“Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and angel's song, for infant's cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory, and are bathed in its radiance.

Be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible comprehended, the poetry made hard fact, the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder. We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, wisemen. Help us to rise bigger than we are. Amen.”

Here are some pics from the Northern States District Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Above are some lobby pictures of the Marriott Hotel. Behind the lobby was the bar and dining area. The joint session began on Friday. The Supreme Knight and Supreme Lady were present this weekend. I'm Back...Pictures from the National Convention in Atlanta, GA!

        Our group toured around Centennial Park in Atlanta, GA. We were staying in the CNN Omni Hotel and congregated in the Georgia Congress Conference Center next door. Executive Director Grant Jones and his staff did an amazing job this year.     The celebrant of the Mass was Cardinal Peter Turkson. Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson is a Ghanaian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace from 24 October 2009 to 1 January 2017. Here are some Sir Knights including the Supreme Knight (in red), the Supreme Captain (in purple) and the District Deputy (in dark blue). Here are Past and Present District Deputies of the Northern States District. Here was the joint session of the Knights Of Peter Claver Inc. We learned about Xavier University and the struggle in the plight of human trafficking in our country with the African American community.

Children's Hospital Gets A Nice Donation in Cincinnati, Ohio!

Council and Court 363 has been doing great things in the lower half of Ohio!   Knights of Peter Claver & Ladies Auxiliary St. Joseph of the West End Council/Court 363 are very proud of our accomplishment and donation to Cincinnati Children's Sickle Cell Research.   The picture highlights the accomplishment of CN/CT 363, presenting a $3000 check  to Children's Hospital to aid in fighting Sickle Cell.
