Knights of Peter Claver Inc.: Northern States District

The Hospitality Committee setup a nice table to greet visitors to the Northern States District Conference. Members of the Ladies Division coming together after working on the Community Service Project. The membership acknowledged all of those that passed on to glory since the last conference, including Mother of the District Lady Joyce Broden. Here are images from the Black Party this evening!

The view from outside my balcony. It was a rainy day. Two ladies from Chicago are working at the polo shirt area. Members of the board and the Vice Supreme Lady are catching up since last conference. Some of the ladies are working on registration and credentials. More members of the board are reconnecting with each other and the Vice Supreme Lady. The Joint Pre Conference Board Session has ended. We all took a picture below.  An hour after the joint meeting, the Card Party/Karoake Party was on. Tomorrow, I will post some videos of the songs sang!

Brothers, I hope this email finds you well. I'm Grand Knight Norman Ragland from Council 298 located in Columbus, Ohio. I'm contacting you to let you know of great news and some very sad news. The great news is that our Deputy Grand Knight of St. Cyprian Council 298  Josef Banks has been selected as the Columbus Diocese Man of the Year. Testimonies from parishioners from our diocese and parish, and for the refurbishing projects ha has completed at two parishes (St. Dominic and Holy Rosary St. John parishes) has garnered  Bro. Josef  this award. He will be recognized with a program and luncheon at St. Patrick's church in Columbus, this  Friday February 3, 2017 . In attendance will be our Bishop, the most Reverend Frederick Campbell of the Columbus Diocese.  The very sad news to pass along is we lost one of our brothers last Thursday January 26. Deacon Robert Neely was called home that morning, succumbing to the cancer he had been battling for over a year...

I hope you all turned in regalia for MLK Jr Day. In Michigan, Clavers turned out at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Detroit, MI. We heard an inspirational message. We heard about Fr. Augustus Tolton becoming 'blessed'.
