A Mother's Day Message!

Sending Love and Joy on a special day, Here’s to all Mothers, the Claver way! Mothers, today is your day. As we send our greatest thanks to mothers everywhere, it is important that we reflect on the various gifts that you bring to all. Proverbs 31:25-30 says, “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all,” The love of a mother can never be replaced. It is with your love that that more love is brought into this world. While God teaches us to love in The Gospel, mothers embody the love that He wants for all. In times of hardship, you are a listening ear. In times of triumph, you are our biggest motivators. Through it all, you are there, always loving, never judging. On this special day, we honor and celebrate yo

... there is a lot going on. Here is a message from the Northern States District Vice President David Quarles: "TO GOD BE THE GLORY” He is not here but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ~ Luke 24:6-7 ~ Easter is the time again that we celebrate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We know that the Lord died so that we might have an opportunity for salvation. We praise and worship him with our heart and soul. On behalf of the Quarles family we hope that each of you will have a wonderful and Blessed Resurrection Day! Enjoy your families! Sincerely David D Quarles NSD Vice President ... a message from the National Chaplin: My Dear Friends in Claverism: The glorious days of Easter are upon us again!!!   We welcome anew the joyful proclamation of the Lord’s resurrection, and the eternal life and eternal Hope that

New News About a Claver Unit on a College Campus!

Clavers, The Knights of Peter Claver, Inc. is proud of the long relationship we have with Xavier University of Louisiana.  Both institutions were founded only years apart.  Most recently, our Noble Order donated over $300,000 to Xavier University for the Saint Katherine Drexel Chapel, and annually we fund scholarships for deserving graduating seniors.   Recently, some questions have emerged on Social Media concerning our strategy to establish a Collegiate Unit at Xavier University.  While Social Media is not the approved medium to discuss the business of our Noble Order, we are issuing this communication with the intent of addressing many of the questions raised in various forums. In the 2016 National Convention, The National Council approved the recommendation to establish Collegiate Units at Xavier University of Louisiana, Texas Southern University, University of Las Vegas, along with Clark, Morehouse and Spelman.  The Emerging Leaders worked tirelessly on this project and gav

A Message from the National on .... Black History Month!

Image
Founded in 1909, The Knights of Peter Claver has not only celebrated Black History Month each year, but it has proudly lived Black History every day.  Our organization and our members have provided pivotal leadership, support, and resources to the communities we serve throughout the country for the past 109 years!   We salute our brother and sister organizations who have also held the torch of freedom, equality, and civil rights.  We honor our community, church, and civic leaders who have sacrificed so greatly so that we can have access to the freedoms we enjoy today.  We challenge ourselves and each of you to not only remember and honor the past struggles and gains, but to willfully answer our call demanding that we continue facing the difficulties and challenges of today and tomorrow.   Please visit  www.kofpc.org/blackhistory  to find historic information, activities, and other resources to help you and those you influence "Celebrate and Live" Black History Month!
