October - Junior Expansion Month in the Northern States District!

A message from the Northern States District Director ...   Greetings Brothers & Happy Belated Founders Day!    As many of you all know, I declared the month of October, Junior Knight expansion month. I am happy to report that the month of October had an increase in junior membership...19 new members! This was partly done by the Chicago Unity Weekend Committee that included our Chicago area commander, Br. David Wilburn and our district deputy, Br. Joseph Bradfield.  During the Chicago unity weekend, 8 junior knights were initiated. Additional recognition should be given to St. Joseph of the West End Council/Branch 363 in Cincinnati, Ohio for initiating a record number of juniors in one branch. Commander Bill Ware and I, held 2 initiations in the month of October, bringing in a total of 9 new members. Growing from 3 members to 12 members plus adding a transfer, for a total of 13 members. Gearing Up for the Northern States District Conference in Pittsburg, PA 2015

Hello, Claver Brothers and Sisters! It is time to gear up for the 77th Annual Northern States District Conference in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Last weekend, the leadership of CN/CT/BR#363 have collaborated, to bring in 3 Jr. Knights  and 2 new Jr. Daughters! Special thanks to our NSD Directress, Lady Anita Bardo for traveling from Indianapolis, and putting together a great workshop on Roles and Responsibilities! Making today a special day here at CN/CT/BR#363, and we are just warming up! God is good!     Northern District Director and Directress working together in Claver harmony!

On Saturday Evening, the Junior Board hosted the banquet. Many attended and many got awards. The food was very good.     Here are a couple of Sir Knights watching the juniors and seniors enter the banquet.     Here are juniors from the Northern States District mingling in the hallways.   The Junior Deputy Grand Knight and Junior Vice Grand Lady were hosts for the festivities. They acknowledged the present of many district and national officers in attendance.        There were many awardees from the Spelling Bee, Math Competition, and Talent Show. Many first time attendees won several awards for their amazing skills.   Out going Director and Directress acknowledged each others service to the Northern States District. Northern States District 2014 Junior Conference in Bloomington, MN Part 1

June 19 - 22, 2014. The Northern States District held their biannual junior conference at the Crown Plaza Hotel near the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. Everyday there was something different going on at the junior conference. Thursday - junior board members met; aquarium tour at the Mall of America. Friday - competitions and business sessions. Saturday - business sessions and banquet. Sunday - conference mass and departure.
