The Northern District’s Philadelphia Central Committee reported that eight men were initiated into our Noble Order on January 9th 2016.  These are the first new knights of the Northern District for the year 2016.  As you can see from their photos, they are all happy to be Knights.

In 2016 .... Keep our Claver Brothers and Sisters in Flint, MI in your prayers. They are dealing with contaminated water in their city (created by the state government), lead poisoning and causes of Legionnaire's disease are on the rise.

Council and Court 363 has been doing great things in the lower half of Ohio!   Knights of Peter Claver & Ladies Auxiliary St. Joseph of the West End Council/Court 363 are very proud of our accomplishment and donation to Cincinnati Children's Sickle Cell Research.   The picture highlights the accomplishment of CN/CT 363, presenting a $3000 check  to Children's Hospital to aid in fighting Sickle Cell.

On Sunday, November 15th, Father Zephyrin Katompa was formally installed as Pastor of St. Peter Claver Church at a mass celebrated in the 3 languages of the parish - English, Spanish and French. Co-celebrating the mass with Father Zeph (center) was the Regional Vicar for Essex County, Monsignor Robert Emery (left), the dean of North Essex, Reverend John Gordon (not pictured) and long time friend of St. Peter Claver, Father Harvey Balance (right).     The installation was heralded ... as a sign of Archbishop John Myers' love and concern for St. Peter Claver Church. At a celebration following the mass Father Zeph, the first African-American Pastor at the church, was commended for the many changes he has brought about in his over 2 years of service at the parish including the introduction of CCD classes in Spanish, initiating Women's Fellowship groups in both English and Spanish and improvements in the parish hall and CCD classrooms.
