In the Easter Season ...

... there is a lot going on. Here is a message from the Northern States District Vice President David Quarles:

"TO GOD BE THE GLORY” He is not here but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ~ Luke 24:6-7 ~

Easter is the time again that we celebrate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We know that the Lord died so that we might have an opportunity for salvation. We praise and worship him with our heart and soul. On behalf of the Quarles family we hope that each of you will have a wonderful and Blessed Resurrection Day! Enjoy your families!

Sincerely David D Quarles NSD Vice President

... a message from the National Chaplin:

My Dear Friends in Claverism:
The glorious days of Easter are upon us again!!!  We welcome anew the joyful proclamation of the Lord’s resurrection, and the eternal life and eternal Hope that Easter promises to those who are born of water and the Holy Spirit.  May Jesus Christ, the Victor over the grave, the Risen Lord and the Light of the World, shine upon us and enlighten our minds and hearts to remain true in our efforts to be faithful to Him.

As the sounds of Alleluia!!!  Alleluia!!! Alleluia!! echo in our minds, hearts and prayer, may we be strengthened for the crosses that we each carry, confident in our own victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Asking the intercession of St. Peter Claver, our patron, I invoke God’s abundant blessings upon all of you and your loved ones during these days of our Easter joy!  Peace and blessings to all!  Alleluia!!

Most Reverend Shelton J. Fabre
Bishop of Houma-Thibodaux
National Chaplain, Knights of Peter Claver

...in this season, the National Office reflects on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:

As the world looks back and reflects on the life, legacy, and ultimate sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we encourage all to look forward with the example of selfless service and leadership he so brilliantly illustrated.

Rather than look at today with sadness, we encourage all to look at it with inspiration and rededication; with hope and commitment; with love and compassion – even for our enemies or those who don’t love us.

Dr. King taught us to be principled and genuine in our faith and actions.  He taught us not to lower ourselves or compromise our values.  He taught us to have faith and be obedient to our Heavenly Father rather than dwell on worldly problems.

Each of us must look at our own lives and ask what we are doing to lead, to serve, to positively impact the world in which we live.  We cannot sit idly and wait for a leader - we are each called to service and leadership now!  We, the Knights of Peter Claver family, strive to be those leaders in the church and to be of service to mankind.

... and the Conference is in less than a month in Columbus, OH. This is a busy April, folks!
